Terms

An index of entertainment-technology companies, each profiled from what the company states on its own website, with tools to search it, read a company's profile, see who works with whom, and read an organisation's plan against the field. Record reads its index and answers; it does not buy, book or change anything on your behalf.

Company lookups and quick search are free and need no account. A free Record account (Connect) adds 10 researched answers and 2 strategy briefs a day, counted over the last 24 hours; there is no card and nothing to cancel. A custom evaluator is provided under a separate written agreement, which prevails over these terms where they differ. We may change what Connect includes, and will say so on this site first.

Keep your sign-in and any keys secure; you are responsible for use made through them. A key or an assistant connection can be revoked at any time from your account page. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts the service at risk.

Please don't scrape or bulk-copy the index, resell or republish Record's answers as a service of your own, try to get around the account limits, overload the service, or send Record content designed to manipulate it. Reselling or sharing Record with your own members or clients needs our written agreement.

Record states what companies say about themselves, dated and linked to the source, and says plainly what a company's own site does not state. It is research to help you decide, not advice, a recommendation or an endorsement. Check what matters with the company before you rely on it. Vendors cannot pay to be included, to rank higher, or to see who asked about them.

What you ask Record stays yours; how we handle it is in the privacy policy. The index, its profiles and Record's software are ours. You may use Record's answers in your own work, including sharing them inside your organisation.

We work to keep Record accurate and available, but provide it as it is, without a guarantee that it is complete, current or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for the free plan is limited to resupplying the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

We may update these terms; the date at the top will change, and continuing to use Record after that means you accept them. You can stop using Record and ask us to close your account at any time.

These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of Queensland have jurisdiction.
